In a recent study it has been found that vitamin B3, nicotinamide specifically have a protective effect on brain cells.

The effect of nicotinamide would be holding the degeneration of brain cells, and serve as an alternative for the treatment of multiple sclerosis. Until now current treatments acted only in the early stages of the disease, but do not stop the terrible chronic disease progression.

Multiple sclerosis is an autoimmune disease in which the immune system attacks the body's own nerve fibers of the individual himself causing him irreversible damage plejias type, paresis among others.

In studies in mice nicotinamide administration has stopped the progression of the disease and is expected in the future to apply in humans to find a cure for this devastating disease.
