It has necessitated the figure of an oncologist-tutor for patients with cancer. This would be referred to a guide capable of supporting the patient in the disease process and serve as a companion through the treatment.
A study which is called 'The Therapeutic Value in Oncology', conducted by the University of patients, supporting the Spanish Patients Forum (EFF), the Spanish Association of People Affected by Lymphoma (AEAL), the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC), the Catalan Association of Concerned Gifts Breast Cancer (AGATA) and the Spanish Society of Medical Oncology (SEOM), so agrees.
According to this study, the patients and their families find important information work but see the need for more comprehensible features and value according to his own needs and preferences of patients.
According to the president of the EFF, Dr. Albert Jovell, the study demonstrates the need for patients by someone you trust, it's a good oncologist and also use the best technology.
The report also highlights the importance of interaction between doctor and patient and the value of a communication between them that is intimate and private.
